General description

El 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol es un disolvente químico de péptidos en fase de disolución. Este disolvente polar fluorado de gran poder de ionización facilita las reacciones de tipo Friedel–Crafts utilizando reactivos covalentes en ausencia de un catalizador ácido de Lewis. También potencia la eficiencia de la cicloadición intramolecular [4+2] catalizada por rodio(I) de alquinil dienos ligados a éter y la cicloadición [5+2] de alquinil vinilciclopropanos. Los agrupamientos de 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol catalizan la epoxidación del ciclooctano y el 1-octano con peróxido de hidrógeno.

Application

El 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol se utilizó para la preparación de polímeros de metacrilato funcionalizados con hexafluoroalcohol para materiales de litografía o nanomodelado.
