Ytterbium ,(III) acetate tetrahydrate is a high-purity (99.95% trace metals basis) rare earth metal salt that appears as a white to off-white crystalline powder. It is readily soluble in water and polar solvents, making it a convenient source of Yb³⁺ ions for doped nanomaterials. Due to its thermal stability and solubility, it is used in the synthesis of advanced materials such as nanoparticles, luminescent materials, and thin films. (1) (2).
