General description

It exhibits a beneficial effect on vision, skin and immune function, inhibits cell proliferation and prevents cancer. It is an important dietary as well as a therapeutic compound.

Application

Retinyl palmitate may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatographic and spectrophotometric techniques.
