General description
Riboflavin (B2) is a vitamin, which is a vital component of mitochondrial energy production. It can be used in the treatment of mitochondrial dysfunction and also for the prophylactic treatment of migraine in adults. It is a part of the coenzyme flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), involved in a number of oxidation and reduction reactions.
Application
Riboflavin (B2) may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in neutraceutical products and food products using high-performance liquid chromatography technique.
